Without revealing too much could he just say yes or no, I'm just so curious what the answer would be?
You can guess which direction I'm going with this question, but am I far off the truth to suggest there's no evidence so far for any 'brand new songs'? :-)
It was confirmed quite a while ago, on the official ELO mailing list, that Jeff Lynne is working on two albums--one of re-recorded hits and one of brand new material. It is also known that he is in the mixing/mastering stages right now.
What isn't known is when they will be released. Jeff is a perfectionist, so we could be waiting for another year for all we know. There HAVE been whispers lately that he is very close, but I'm always reluctant to get my hopes on internet rumors.
Come on, Jeff! Don't let your remaining fans wait much longer.
Part of me wants to believe that smiley means: "JEFF HAS MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT"...
