ULTIMATE CLASSIC ROCK FAN CHOICE

The results are in on the Ultimate Classic Rock Fan Choice Awards 2017 - and Jeff Lynne's ELO took Best Live Album with 52% of the vote.

UCR:

Speaking of concerts, UCR voters also had some pretty strong opinions regarding who put out the best live album of the year. Wembley or Bust, the latest live release from Jeff Lynne's ELO, earned that title with a solid 52 percent of the vote — far and away outpacing their closest contender, the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

And Tom Petty won Artist of the Year with 53% of the vote.

BBC Two will air a special 1 hour and 15 minute edit of Wembley or Bust on 16/17 December 2017.

BUST

For people still waiting (particularly in the US) for Wembley or Bust on vinyl, your wait now extends through 26 January 2018 at the apparent earliest according to Amazon.  If you're in the US and want to secure a copy of Wembley or Bust on vinyl or the Out Of The Blue picture discs (which didn't appear to ship at all in the US either - and is not expected to until late December) for holiday gifts, you may have to find a UK retailer.

(12/2 update: US pre-orders for Out of The Blue picture discs are shipping at Amazon.)
(12/4 update: My bundle from the official store has arrived and I got message from another that theirs has arrived as well, so it looks like the pre-order bundles in the US are shipping now.)
