BACK IN THE UK CHARTS

Not sure the last time this happened, but Jeff Lynne has not one - not two - but three albums in the UK Top 10 album charts this week.  According to BBC Radio 1:

Jeff Lynne's Long Wave debuts at #5
Mr. Blue Sky: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra debuts at #9

And in an effort to capitalize on Jeff Lynne's higher profile in the UK last week, Sony/BMG unleashed another round of All Over The World: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra CDs last week.  This week, that collection of ELO originals holds steady at #10.

On Amazon, Long Wave is currently number 20 in the overall music sales chart. Last I checked iTunes, it was number 67. So it's going to be interesting to see where it lands in the Billboard top 200, next week.

Not sure that will end up correct.
No shops are selling at moment, all postal or downloading sales it will have to come from and reviewing popular sites including iTunes in UK it may be more like 3 in too 40 with two new releases Top 20.
Still very good as Armchair theatre debuted at 24.

Looks like putting Jeff out there on the 'interview circuit' has really paid off. I wonder did he enjoy it...I did. Thanks Jeff, you've made an old(ish) man very happy...another interesting observation from the documentary - and I quote; ' I've recorded all me old songs'...
